| Graston Technique Slide Show Power Point Insertion |
||
|
This is a fairly straighforward process and with a few mouse clicks you will have the GT Slideshow embeded in your PowerPoint Presentation. The images below are utilizing Power Point 2000. On a sidenote - If you plan on presenting your power point slide show on a computer other then your own, you have to make sure that computer has the Flash Player installed otherwise the GT SlideShow won't work. The player can be found on Adobe's website: http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer |
| (1) Start with Power Point open. You can use any version from PowerPoint 1997 and newer: |

| (2) From the VIEW menu, scroll down to TOOLBARS and choose VISUAL BASIC. |

| (3) From the Visual Basic Toolbar, click on the CONTROL TOOLBOX icon. |

| (4) From the CONTROL TOOLBOX, select MORE CONTROLS icon. |

| (5) From the scrolldown list, choose SHOCKWAVE FLASH OBJECT. |

| (6) Your cursor will change to a cross hair cursor |

| (7) Right click on the rectangle you just drew and choose PROPERTIES. |

(8) Under the Alphabetic tab, make the following changes:(9) To obtain the absolute path easily, simply double click on the 'gtdownload' directory: |
![]() |
| (10) You'll then see Windows Explorer showing you the absolute path as is highlighted here: |
![]() |
| (11) That isn't the full path however. So first put your cursor in the box that's shown above and right click and select 'Copy'. |
![]() |
| (12) Then go into Power Point and with your cursor in the box next to 'Movie', right click and select paste. |

| (13) So that it looks something like this: |
![]() |
| (14) Now all you need to do is type in a slash and the filename \gtslideshow.swf
so that: C:\Documents and Settings\Jeffrey Aberle\Desktop\gtdownload looks like: C:\Documents and Settings\Jeffrey Aberle\Desktop\gtdownload\gtslideshow.swf |
![]() |
| Realize your absolute path will look different then mine because your name isn't Jeffrey Aberle' and you may have saved the files somewhere other then the desktop. Make sure you add the correct type of slash as well. It's '\' not' / 'when referring to file paths in windows. View the slide show to see it work. Make any position adjustments as necessary to line up the GT Slideshow in the middle of the slide. If you have further questions, just contact me. |
