 Frequently Asked Questions

What's the size of the GT Animated Slide Show?

The GT Animated Slide Show is only 850KB. This is a very small file considering all that is packaged inside.

Can the slide show be viewed by users with a slow internet connection?

Even users on a slow internet connection (56K) can view the slide show. In fact they don't have to wait until it fully loads. Within about 10 seconds users can view the first slide while the rest of the slides load. The whole file will be loaded by the time the user gets about half way through reading the slides. This means they won't get annoyed by having to wait for buffering of video or choppy playback that is common with dial up connections. Of course high speed internet connections will have no trouble since the entire application will load in a few seconds.

How many files are there?

There is only one file that your web designer will add to your website. All the animations, video, text, etc are within this one file. Included in the download after purchase are additional files for your use. Four still pictures of the slide show, two internet files and the license are also included.

Will it work on Apple computers and PC's?

Yes.

Is Flash Technology popular?

You see Flash animations on websites all the time. Whether they're banner ads, automobile commercials, movie previews, etc. Next time you're on a site and you see animations of some kind and want to see if they're made with Flash, simply put the mouse over the image or animation and click the right mouse button. At the bottom of the pop up menu it will say something like "About Macromedia Flash Player 6". The number referrs to the version of the Flash Player that you have installed on your computer. If you right click a picture, you'll see options like "Save Picture As" or "Open Link" instead. These are not made with Flash.

Where do I go to install the Flash Player?

You can download the latest version at http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer/

How many people already have the Flash Player?

According to Adobe, the developer of the application we used to distribute and make the GT application, approximately 97% of computers surveyed had the Adobe Flash Player Version 6 that allows the GT application to be viewed on a users computer. What does this mean? The great majority of computer users will go to your website and watch the GT Animated Slide Show hassle free. In fact you probably already had the Flash Player installed on your computer without even knowing it. Click here to look at the statistics of how many people have the Flash Player installed on their computers .

What if I don't have the Flash Player?

For the 3% who don't have the Flash Player 6 or above installed, they simply click on a link that takes them to the Adobe Flash Player Download Page. They click the "Install" button and once installed the GT Animated Slide Show is right there in front of them ready to view.

Will my web developer know how to put the GT Animated Slide Show on my website?

Your web developer understands how Flash files work. In fact they probably use another program from Adobe called Dreamweaver to make websites. It's simply a matter of dragging our GT Animated Slide Show file onto your webpage and positioning it, adding additional text if you want and uploading it to the server where your website is stored for the world to see.

Can I customize the GT Application?

Yes. Simply contact us and we can discuss what you need and how much the changes would cost. Even the entire blue background image can be tinted any color you choose in order to better coordinate with your website color scheme. Otherwise let us know via email what you would like to see in the Graston Technique Animated Slide Show and we'll do our best to incorporate those changes in future versions.

What is the connection between the companies Adobe and Macromedia?

Adobe recently purchased Macromedia so for a while you may see Macromedia Flash Player or Adobe Flash Player. They're the same software plug-in.

How long can I download the files once I've purchased a license?

How can I learn more?

There are several videos available that explain every question that we foresaw people having. Click here to watch these videos. (High Speed Internet Connection is recommended but not required) Flash Player 8 is required to view these videos due to newer technology for video over the web. We purposely designed the GT Animated Slide Show to use Flash Player 6 because most computers already have that version installed.
