Step One: (Setting microphone levels) Talk into your microphone and look for the level indicator to see if your microphone signal is being detected by the application. If you see some movement while your talking then the microphone is working. Set the gain with the arrows. As you talk, you want to set the level so it doesn't peak out into the red with every thing you say. Find a nice middle ground where the signal isn't peaking out, yet it's not too low either. Watch the microphone settings video for more details.

Step Two: (Select the movies you'll use to make your final movie) From the left hand menu click and drag a few movies (up to 10 max) over to the "Working Video List" for you to use in your next movie.

Step Three: (Syncronize the rotations of your selected movies) If you want to sync all your movies so that they all rotate together, then click the sync button. You'll notice a check next to all your movies indicating they're now synced together. To unsync a movie simply click the checkbox to remove the check.

Play around with this feature before you hit record to learn how it works, but you can sync or unsync movies while you're recording as well.
You can also press the x5 button and then hit sync so the movies only show every other five frames while rotating. This gives you small file sizes on your final movies so end users have shorter download times. To sync all the videos to x5 first select x5 and then press "Click to Sync all Videos" button. The "Click to Sync all Videos" button syncs all the videos and sets them to the currently viewed video and multiplication setting.

Step Four: (Enter your name) Type your name in the name box. This name shows up on the credit/copyright screen when your movies first start playing.

Step Five: (Choose a file name) Type in a file name like lowbackpain01 or whatever you want for a file name. Typical file name rules apply: No periods, commas, quotes, etc. Stick to characters and numbers please.

Step Six: (Start Recording) Hit the big red "Record" button to start recording.

Step Seven: (Select different movies while you're recording) Click the different thumbnails in your useable movies section to choose different movies. Then use the scrubber bar to rotate the images. Use your mouse to point out features on the movies and talk freely.

Step Eight: (Stop Recording) Click the grey "Stop" button when finished.

Step Nine: (Submit for Processing if you like what you just recorded) Wait a few seconds for your file name to show up in the list box at the bottom of the application. Click it so it's highlighted then click "Submit for Processing". Wait a few minutes. When the list box indicates "Completed", you can view your movie. Only submit your movies if you liked what you did and want to review it. If it wasn't a good take, then just delete the file.

Step Ten: (Review your newly created movie) Check the box "Go to Play Mode". Then click your movie in the list box and you'll see it play. When viewing your movies inside the application we've removed the mandatory viewing of the copyright/credit/preloader window for quicker reviewing of your movies.

Congratulations!!! You've now created your first movie and reviewed it. If you found any of these steps confusing please watch the video which shows a recording actually being done including all the above steps. This is pretty much it. A few more details can be found in the other training tutorials, but we've covered most of the functionality in this tutorial. After making a few movies, you'll find it quite simple to make more.
